As part of Instantor's partnership with the Plumbing Heating Group (PHG), Duftons now stocks the market-leading Instantor Press System, alongside R-Press fittings, which are designed specifically for air conditioning and refrigeration applications.
Founded in Yorkshire in 1986, Duftons has established itself as one of the largest independent plumbing and heating merchants in the North of England. Duftons has 13 trade counters situated in various locations, including Leeds, Beeston, Wakefield and Durham, with bathroom showrooms in their Harrogate, Thirsk, Barnsley and Stockton branches and a renewable energy centre in Gildersome. Instantor R-Press fittings are designed to provide a quick and secure method of joining pipework in high-pressure applications, up to 48 bar, including refrigeration, air conditioning, heat pumps (refrigeration side), and variable flow systems. Transitioning to press fittings can be a game-changer for ACR installers, as they are flame-free, which eliminates the need for hot work permits, or fire watches, and lengthy risk assessments are also reduced. This results in quicker installations, less downtime, and safer working conditions, especially in tight spaces.
