Statement from Kevin Wellman, CEO of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE), on the sad passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the accession of King Charles III.
“It was with great sadness that the staff and Board of Trustees of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering, received the news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. With a heavy heart, I have written to her Private Secretary, on behalf of the Institute and its members, to offer our collective condolences to His Majesty King Charles III and the wider Royal Family.
“Queen Elizabeth has been a constant in our lives, devoting herself entirely to crown and country for the past 70 years. It is with a deep sense of grief that we mourn the passing of a truly respected monarch. As we enter into a new era with many challenges ahead, we give our full support as a chartered institute, to His Majesty King Charles III.
“Queen Elizabeth worked tirelessly and steadfastly through her long reign. Aiming through her words and actions, the betterment of the nation and the Commonwealth. This aspiration to make the world a better place has always been an inspiration to the Institute, aligning with our aims to advance professionalism in our own industry and protect the public health. Her example and faithful service will never be forgotten. We give our heartfelt thanks for her tireless devotion.”
