Baxi has appointed Jonathon Hunter Hill as business development manager within its specialist heat network division, strengthening its support for customers across the heat network and multi-occupancy sectors.

Jonathon brings nearly 15 years’ mechanical engineering experience spanning low-carbon heat and ventilation, heat networks and energy centre strategy. He joins Baxi from SAV Systems, where he led to-market strategy for the energy centres team.

In his new role, Jonathon will focus on developing new business and helping customers deliver effective, lower-carbon heat solutions for heat networks and multi-occupancy buildings.

Jonathon Hunter Hill said: "I believe heat networks are one of the most effective routes to decarbonising heat at scale, while also supporting grid flexibility and energy security. It's a view I explored in depth in my MBA research, and it's why I'm committed to tackling fuel poverty and reducing the energy the UK uses for heat. I'm looking forward to joining Baxi and working with customers to deliver heat networks that perform as well in operation as they do on paper."

Elliot Newton of Baxi said: “We’re delighted to welcome Jonathon to Baxi. His deep technical knowledge and commercial insight will be a valuable addition to the team as we continue to grow our heat network business, supporting customers with our end-to-end solutions.

“Heat networks form an important part of the government's plan to reduce carbon and cut heating bills for customers. This appointment underlines Baxi’s commitment to improve the efficiency of UK heat networks and drive decarbonisation with our integrated expertise and technology.

Baxi’s in-house team of heat network experts design, support, manufacture and supply complete end-to-end solutions for your heat network. These include fully tested energy centres and thermal substations for low-carbon heat networks and heat interface units supported by remote monitoring and servicing.
