In CIPHE, World Plumbing Council Conference 2026, Plumbing

The World Plumbing Conference, a landmark event uniting the international plumbing and heating community, is returning to the UK for the first time since 1990, with the theme “Worldwide Problems, Global Solutions” set to guide conversations across the three-day event.

The 14th World Plumbing Conference will be hosted by both the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) and the World Plumbing Council, in collaboration with InstallerSHOW. Taking place from 23rd to 25th June at Birmingham’s NEC, the Conference is set to welcome over 500 international delegates to discuss key global challenges facing the industry.

Visitors will enjoy an exclusive schedule of live content and hands-on workshops across the three-day event. Thought leaders, global experts and sustainability champions will share visionary insights on water efficiency, circular design, climate-resilient infrastructure and the role of plumbing in broader societal challenges.

Highlights include keynote sessions such as ‘The Global Plumbing Commitment’ delivered by Claire O’Neill, former UK Minister for Energy and Clean Growth and a global authority on sustainability, and ‘Plumbing as a Catalyst: Circular Solutions for a Water-Secure Future’, a panel discussion examining plumbing’s role in shaping breakthrough efficiency measures, circular design, and reuse strategies.

A rare chance for the global plumbing community to get together, the event will also offer attendees plenty of opportunities to connect with peers, innovators and decision-makers with social highlights including a welcome drinks reception, a Gala Dinner with awards celebrating emerging talent, and a classic British afternoon tea to wrap up the event.

Additionally, an invitation-only event has recently been added to the conference’s schedule. Taking place on the Monday evening ahead of the conference, the exclusive event will bring together CIPHE members, World Plumbing Conference representatives and Industrial Associates for an evening of industry updates and networking.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit over 850 exhibitors at the annual InstallerSHOW, which brings together leading manufacturers and organisations across the UK’s heating and plumbing sector.

Registration is now open, with a full three-day delegate pass priced at £415+VAT, and concessions for CIPHE members starting at £200+VAT.

Commenting on the World Plumbing Conference, Kevin Wellman, Chief Executive Officer at the CIPHE, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming our international guests and, given this is only the second time the UK has ever hosted the Conference, we’re excited to demonstrate the leading position of the country’s plumbing and heating sector to a global audience. We have some fantastic speakers lined up who will bring insight, challenge thinking and share real-world solutions to the issues facing our industry, globally.

“The international plumbing and heating sector is facing the same issues, with key challenges like the skills shortage, changing legislation and economic pressures all affecting tradespeople across the globe. As a result, the theme for this year’s conference is set to drive knowledge-sharing and practical discussion around how we can collectively address these challenges and future-proof the industry.”
