New Mira React mixer showers offer compliant, sustainable options for modern housing, without sacrificing showering experience.
Cheltenham, UK – Mira Showers, the UK’s leading manufacturer of shower solutions, has unveiled its new Mira React mixer shower range, designed specifically for modern housing developments where efficiency, compliance and comfort must work together. The launch marks the latest milestone for Mira in its efforts to support housing developers, and installers, in delivering future proof homes in line with the Future Homes Standard (FHS).
As the FHS comes into effect this year, requiring new homes in England to be highly energy-efficient, the new mixer is designed for new-build schemes. Each shower pairs a water saving‑saving valve with Mira SprayBoost™ handset technology to “keep the power in every drop”. The system is engineered to deliver the feeling of up to 25% more power without using any extra water, making 6 litres per minute feel more like 8 litres per minute.
The new mixer also supports compliance with Part G water efficiency standards and Part L energy performance – important to developers, and therefore to installers, that need to qualify for relevant water rebates.
The mixer also features anti drip‑drip overhead and handset performance, ensuring a quality feel and minimising dripping at regulated flow rates.
Alongside options around look and feel, the mixer answers other customer requirements. Recent research from Mira Showers found that customers expect a balance between efficiency and experience. While sustainability matters, shower comfort remains non-negotiable: around 42.6% of respondents regard ‘more water flow from the showerhead’ as an upgrade, while 48.4% value ‘‑water-saving‑ features’.
Dan Martin, Installer Marketing & Communications Manager, Mira Showers comments; “The new Mira React mixer has been designed to empower installers to support developers in meeting compliance. They meet water efficiency standards while providing customers with an excellent shower experience, in line with what you’d expect from a Mira shower. It has been designed from the ground up to support a fittings-based‑ approach to installation, with ringfenced shower volumes.”
