Nesta, the UK’s innovation agency, will soon launch a national campaign to encourage installers to help their customers lower the flow temperature on combi boilers.
Many households' flow temperature is set too high, between 65 and 80°C. With 15 million combi boilers in UK homes alone, the potential for money and energy saving is significant - the average user could cut their gas use by 6-8%.
Join us for a special live online event where we’ll be sharing the latest research into boiler flow temperature, and the potential saving for households this winter. We’ll showcase our easy-to-use online tool to help householders turn down their boiler flow.
The session will include:
- Exclusive presentation of evidence from modelling and testing with Energy Systems Catapult and Salford Energy House
- Demo of Nesta's boiler turn-down tool
- Q&A with the project leads
Panel:
Andy Marsden - A Strategic Designer with a background in industrial, service and human-centred design
Katy King - Deputy Director on Nesta's mission to create A Sustainable Future
Richard Burrows - Co-Director and Heating Consultant at Mid Wales Plumbing & Heating Supplies.
