Baxi has introduced a new range of residential Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs) as part of a complete packaged solution that includes cylinders, controls, training, enhanced warranty options, nationwide commissioning and aftersales support.

The new Baxi HP40 Monobloc Air Source Heat Pump range is available in outputs from 4kW to 13kW at UK winter conditions, providing a low-carbon solution for reliable, energy-efficient heating and hot water in every size of property.

Specifically designed for use with the Baxi ASHP Cylinder for excellent hot water performance, the new Baxi ASHP is supplied with a magnetic filter as standard to protect the heating system and provide added reliability. DC inverter technology maximises energy-efficient operation, while the unit’s extremely low sound level guarantees customer comfort.

Harriet Evans, Renewables Director at Baxi said “We understand that many heating engineers will need to become familiar with ASHPs for the country to hit that 600,000-heat pump installation target, so we want to make their move to renewables as seamless as possible. Whether installers are new to heat pumps or already have a recognised heat pump qualification, we offer everything they need to become comfortable with Baxi’s Air Source Heat Pumps – from initial training and on-site commissioning support on the first install to expert customer service and aftersales advice.”

The new Baxi ASHPs come with enhanced warranty options of up to five years[1] for added peace of mind. They are joined by a freshly updated Baxi Assure heat pump range for housebuilders, developers, social housing providers and their appointed contractors to install into new build and social housing properties.

Through this new heat pump offering, Baxi is able to combine over 150 years’ experience of heating UK homes with over 30 years of European heat pump innovation from its parent company BDR Thermea Group. Following the establishment of its Heat Pumps Competence Centre in 2018, BDR Thermea has tripled the number of engineers dedicated to heat pump innovation across the continent.

Harriet continued: “Heat pumps are an important technology for decarbonising heat in homes, so we are really proud to be able to add this great new range to our portfolio. We’re committed to giving installers all the support they need, from discussing the technology confidently with their customers to making sure they deliver optimum performance, efficiency and energy savings. We’re here for them at every step of their ASHP journey.”
