Worshipful Company of Plumbers to offer student Bursaries of up to £1000
Are you a student, working towards NVQ Level 3 MES (Plumbing) or equivalent? If the answer is yes, then you need to read this blog, because the Worshipful Company of Plumbers has announced its tools and equipment Bursary scheme for the 2017/2018 academic year.
The Worshipful Company of Plumbers is one of the most ancient of the Livery Companies of the City of London, having served the City and the craft of plumbing continuously for over 650 years. It was founded to promote and maintain high standards of Craftsmanship and Business conduct, and sees its Bursary scheme as an important aspect in bringing this ethos through to the next generation of plumbers.
The Company offers Bursaries to assist students working for NVQ Level 3 MES (Plumbing) or equivalent buy costly tools and equipment. Students are encouraged to apply direct but must have a reference from their lecturer or employer. Professional bodies (such as the CIPHE), training providers and employers are encouraged to support students who, in their opinion, meet the criteria and would therefore merit consideration as possible recipients of a Bursary.
The Company annually considers Bursaries of up to £1000 for students of plumbing. This is awarded in vouchers for tools and equipment. The Bursary cannot be used to offset any course fees provided by an employer.
All applications should be made by the 12th January 2018.
