Interntional Women in Engineering Day 2017

Tracey RichardsonAs today is International Women in Engineering Day, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to profile our nominated Vice-President for the upcoming AGM, Tracey Richardson EngTech LCGI MCIPHE RP.

Tracey was an Aircraft Technician in the RAF for 22 years. Discharging as a Sergeant with qualifications in Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering, she subsequently served a plumbing apprenticeship before going on to run her own business for a number of years.

Since then, she has worked in education for  a private training company that helps support other colleges and centres, carrying out onsite plumbing assessments and delivering plumbing and heating qualifications in colleges and centres throughout the UK. Tracey has a particular focus on professionalism for herself and for others in the plumbing and heating industry, so is proud to have devoted time to recognising the talents and dedication of young people when acting as a judge for World Skills for the last 5 years, and in 2015 was then particularly honoured to achieve Master Plumber status.

On a day dedicated to raising the profile and celebrating the achievements of women in engineering, we are proud to shine a light on Tracey Richardson EngTech LCGI MCIPHE RP
