Rapid Asbestos Detection

Working with Asbestos Questionnaire

The CIPHE is  working as part of European Framework Project (ALERT: Asbestos Location Equipment in Real Time) to produce a potentially life saving device which will detect airborne asbestos fibres in real time.

The ALERT Project’s main objective is to develop a low cost, portable detector of airborne asbestos fibres for use in the work place by tradespeople. The detector will use light scattering technology for particle classification and identification.
