The Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering (CIPHE) held its AGM on Saturday 23rd June at The Park Inn by Radisson, York. Around 60 people attended.
Ron Berry was elected as National President and Steve Ingle was voted in as the Vice President.
Ron Berry has been associated with the CIPHE for over 17 years. His company, Courtprice, provides insurance services and independent financial advice for Institute members.
In his address, Ron said: “To take the Presidency of this Chartered Institute, at this time, is both thrilling yet humbling, especially when I am aware of the calibre of those who have gone before me.
“The Chairman, Professor Rodney Cartwright, and our new Chief Executive, Kevin Wellman, are implementing the recommendations of the Review Committee and the role of the President has been re-defined and strengthened.
“Elected by the Members, I will actively support Kevin in expanding the Institute’s involvement with all Members and Industrial Associate supporters during my year of office. This is an exciting time to be involved and I look forward to a successful year working with you all.”
