Details of the CIPHE Registered Plumbing and Heating Professionals in your local area will be displayed on a map, along with their contact details and information relating to the types of work that they are competent to undertake.

All members in this directory are bound by the Institute's Code of Professional Standards

For a variety of reasons, not all Registered Plumbing and Heating Professionals choose to be listed on this site. They may not, for example, offer services to the public, or they might be working for a water supply company.

Gas Safety - Legal Requirements

Gas Safe Register is the body given the responsibility by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to maintain a register of competent gas installers.

All businesses whether employers or self-employed persons, who undertake work on fittings supplied by natural gas or liquid petroleum gas, must by law be registered with Gas Safe Register. Only those members who have informed the Institute that they are registered with Gas Safe Register have the Gas Fitting work classification beneath their names in the Directory.

Prior to engaging with an Institute member to carry out gas work and in order to verify his/her eligibility to undertake gas work, you are encouraged to check with Gas Safe Register that they are still authorised.
