National Volunteers’ Week 1 - 7 June
Normally, when you think of volunteers you think of men and women caring for others or working on community projects. However, you may be surprised at the number of volunteers who work to promote high standards and good practice in the plumbing and heating industry.

The Easter bank holiday weekend is almost here. That, along with the brighter evenings, usually brings out the DIY in many of us. However, the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) says there are some jobs that should only be left to a professional to carry out.
Against the backdrop of mounting gender inequality in the corporate world, CIPHE is delighted to announce its full support of WaterSafe’s newly-launched ‘Get Girls Plumbing’ campaign designed to encourage more women to take up tools.
Steve Ingle, National President of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE), welcomed some 50 guests to his special dinner, which took place at The Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn on 4th March.
The Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) supports the White Paper produced by AKW Medicare Ltd, which explores the case for increasing Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) funding under its new Better Care Funding umbrella.
You may already have a trusty, competent plumber that you always turn to when the need arises. However, there are a huge number of people who will, for the first time, need to employ someone to carry out work on their plumbing or heating system.
Carpenters’ Hall, was the venue for the Livery Companies Skill Council awards ceremony, which took place on on 10th February 2014. This prestigious event included representatives from the Worshipful Companies of Carpenters, Clockmakers, Horners, Lightmongers, Masons, Paviors, Plaisterers, Plumbers, Wax Chandlers and Wheelwrights.
